T Shea & Sons diversified away from Civil Engineering in 1994, as a result of the Quarry Tax being introduced, and as the market for Recycled Aggregates began to take off. A modest Waste Transfer site was established in Stourton, Leeds. With our modern fleet of tipper wagons and on-site plant, the business flourished, taking in Demolition Waste and Construction Waste from the Leeds area, which would previously have been sent to landfill, and, by crushing and screening, converting it into a reusable Recycled Aggregate.
